Our Facility Rules
Keeping our community safe while using our facility is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us keep you safe, we ask you to please follow our facility rules.
FOOD POLICY
These rules are in place to minimise waste from excessive amounts of food brought into the facility. Thank you for understanding.
Allowed:
- A packed lunch
- 1 drink per person, consisting only of non-alcoholic beverages such as juice, soft drink, water, etc.
- Homemade food/lunch
- Fruit
- Healthy Snacks
- Birthday Cakes
Not Allowed:
- Chilly Bins
- Glass
- Alcohol
- Trays of drinks or fizzy drink 1.5L or 2.25L
- Commercial food such as takeaways, pizza, fast food, etc.
- Trays of pre-cooked/made food
- Portable cooking devices e.g. BBQs, portable gas stoves
Functions and Room Hire
Parnell Baths has a function room available for hire where it is more appropriate for these items to be consumed. Please enquire at reception for more details.
*Exceptions apply with BBQ bookings - please bookings must be made in advance.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who fails to adhere to this policy. Please do not be offended if Parnell Baths staff asks to inspect your bags upon arrival as part of our procedures.

SUPERVISION POLICY
Children 10 years and under: MUST be actively supervised by a caregiver 17 years or over. Actively supervised means:
- Watching your children at all times to be able to provide immediate assistance.
- At a close distance where you can see, hear and be heard by your child and your child must be able to see you.
Children 4 years and under:
- In pools other than shallow toddler pools, children must be accompanied in the pool and within arms reach.
Maximum adult to child ratios:
- One adult to two under 5yr's
- One adult to four 5-10yr's
- One adult to one under 5 and three 5-10yr's
GENERAL POOL RULES
- All children 10 years and under must be supervised at all times by an adult 17 years and over.
- Walking only please, no running on poolside.
- Glassware and food is prohibited on poolside.
- Any abusive or unsocial behaviour will not be tolerated, please respect others at all times.
- This is a non-smoking facility.
- Please shower before using the pools.
- Do not leave property unattended. Paid lockers are available.
- No gazebos or tents of any kind.
- No pets.
SPA POOL RULES OF USE
- DO NOT USE if you are pregnant, have a serious illness, heart condition, high or low blood pressure, respiratory condition or any other medical condition which may effect your reaction to heat.
- Take a break after 15 minutes.
- Hydrate regularly.
- Please shower and towel dry before and after use.
- The spa may be closed at times throughout the day for cleaning and 15 minutes prior to the facility closing time.
APPROPRIATE SWIMWEAR
Appropriate Swimwear:
Rash tops, board shorts or any other swimming togs made of polyester are suitable.
We DO NOT allow:
Any cotton material t-shirts, singlets, basketball singlets, rugby jerseys, denim or under garments. No mermaid tail suits.
Swim togs can be purchased at reception.
