CLM Awarded 13 New Contracts to Manage Auckland's Pools and Leisure Centres
Auckland Council has approved new contracts for the operation of 20 outsourced pools and leisure centres across the region. The decision, made by the council’s Revenue, Expenditure and Value Committee on October 15, awarded contracts to two suppliers including Community Leisure Management (CLM).
The new contracts will take effect in April 2025, with CLM operating 13 centres.
CLM CEO Craig Carter expressed excitement about the announcement, stating, “We are proud of our strong collaborative relationship with Auckland Council and look forward to taking this partnership to the next level. We recognise that these contract changes may create uncertainty for staff and the public, and we are committed to working alongside all parties to ensure a smooth transition.”
CLM’s focus will be on providing accessible, inclusive, and high-quality services that meet the diverse needs of Auckland's communities. We aim to foster a vibrant environment where people can come together to stay active and healthy.
