Fitness Manager

Shelly is The Bays Fitness Centre Manager with a wealth of experience and knowledge in all areas of Fitness. She is a total leader here in our special populations and Aqua classes alongside providing amazing customer service when attending to our member queries.

She’s been part of the CLM whanau since 2005 and has held many roles throughout that time. She’s also the first to dress up for any event, smiles and shimmys included.

Makoto Endo

Fitness Instructor

Makoto has been with CLM for many years working at various sites and was part of the first team here at The Bays when we first opened our doors in 2014. His attention to detail & efficient approach to all things fitness makes him a huge asset to our team.

His passion lies in MMA training but he just loves helping those who are brand new to fitness or are in need of that little extra push to get them going!

Jarod Nelson

Fitness Instructor

Jarod is a certified personal trainer
He is passionate about helping others who are goal oriented. He also likes helping those who keen to improve their well being and/or physical activity. Whether you’re are training for competition or just a hobby, he’s your man. His drive to show up and put 100 percent into everything that he does is something you can be sure of when having a session with him or seeing him around the gym.

In his spare time, you’ll find him training in the art of Jiu Jitsu.

Liam Daniel

Fitness Instructor

Liam is a passionate individual who likes to see others happy and thriving. He takes pride in being able to motivate and inspire others while providing an enjoyable environment. He has competed in two men’s physique shows and three CrossFit competitions. He also has years of experience with football, rugby and tennis.

Personally he likes calisthenics and mobility style training but is also into anything that gets the body moving and the heart rate pumping.

Manauea Mehau

Fitness Instructor

Manu is Currently in her first year of a Bachelor of Applied sport and Exercise Science at MIT. Sport has always been a part of her life and now she gets to share her knowledge with others.

She loves all sports and has played Representative level in Rugby, Touch and Represented NZ at the Tag Football World Cup in 2023. She also competed in Muay Thai and has since found a new love in the form of Jiu-jitsu.

If not at work you can find her on the mats at jiu-jitsu, coaching women's rugby team, studying or at home with her beautiful family.

Kiani Taituha

Fitness Instructor

At just 11 weeks old, doctors diagnosed Kiani with a heart defect that required open-heart surgery. That didn't stop her from pursuing her passion for sports throughout her life.
With a love of physical activity, especially in the gym. Over time, she’ not only grown to enjoy staying active but also found a strong desire to help others on their fitness journeys.

She finds great happiness in assisting people in achieving their fitness goals, witnessing their progress not only in their bodies but also in their overall lives, and building meaningful connections with each client.
Her mission is to offer unwavering support and nurture a positive mindset that empowers you to reach your fitness dreams. She can help you to set realistic goals that will guide you toward improving your overall health, fitness, and well-being.
