Kāhu Kōrako - Wānanga Tuatahi

In line with the recent rising of Matariki & Puanga (signalling the beginning of the Māori New Year) the Kāhu Kōrako programme, supported by Te Puni Kōkiri, kicked off again in Te Tai Tokerau. The programme, in its second year, is based on the Aroora framework and is designed to support the leadership aspirations and development of CLM employees. A year-long programme run over a series of wānanga across Aotearoa the first wānanga saw participants hīkoi through Waipoua, visit Manea Footprints of Kupe, sand board down the ancestral sand dunes of Pouahi, visit the National Treaty Grounds, paddle on kōpapa down the Waitangi river, and visit Ngāwha Springs.
